We are proud to announce that at Fefco technical Seminar in Geneva, Switzerland Lemtapes Oy was honored of winning FEFCO “Sustainability Award” on replacement of plastic tapes with cellulose-based tapes.
Lemtapes Oy participated in FEFCO Technical Seminar during 9-11th October 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland. The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers (FEFCO) is a non-profit organisation representing the interests of the industry across Europe and addressing a wide range of issues, from technical topics to economical questions. Fefco organizes a technical seminar every 2 years. In the Seminar the suppliers and producers of corrugated industry explore and present the new possibilities and innovations of this sector.
Over one thousand representatives from the Corrugated Board Industry gathered in Geneva to explore the many opportunities in the packaging and board sector at the FEFCO Technical Seminar in Geneva. Brilliant innovations in packaging and inspiring ideas were on show at the FEFCO Technical Seminar, which again continues to grow. 153 stands and 97 exhibitors were showing their products and services. The Seminar programme continued to generate huge interest, with 24 experts speaking during the conference sessions, and 60 separate spotlight presentations.
Lemtapes Oy won the category of sustainability presenting their new innovative product, PureTape, that replaces the plastic PET fibers used in a reinforcement tape with cellulose based fibers. “In Lemtapes we invest strongly in sustainable solutions. Our cellulose fiber based PureTape emphasizes the good reputation of a corrugated box and lowers the carbon footprint of the total package.” -says Diana Rossi, Business development Manager for packaging tapes in Lemtapes.
Lemtapes’s tapes are used for example in beverage packages to reinforce the handles.
